What information does this website capture about registered participants?
This website uses an extended log file format which captures: date and time of visit, referring address (location from which a visitor comes to www.digitalrep.com), type of internet browser, and visitor’s IP address and DNS name. Each computer that connects to the internet is assigned a unique number, an IP address, for identification purposes. The log file does not capture a visitor’s email address, nor other personal or financial information.
We review our data collection, storage, and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store, and process information needed to provide our Services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on you and other users to update or correct that business information whenever necessary.
How does Digitalrep use the information?
What are cookies and how does Digitalrep use them?
Can cookies be removed from my fixed disk drive?
Yes, cookies can be removed from your fixed disk drive. Also, depending on what type of web browser and what browser version you are using, you may be able to change the properties on your cookie file so that cookies are not used or saved. Please check with your browser provider for more information on handling and / or removing cookies.
With whom does Digitalrep share my information?
What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?
If you are provided with a login, it will be password protected. In such case, you will be able to edit your profile by logging into the Service using your user ID and password. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Digitalrep will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Also remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your business information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or internet cafe.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your information, Digitalrep cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our registration forms, and online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
What happens to my information after the Service is no longer used?
We will take all reasonable steps to destroy, or arrange for the destruction of a customer’s record within its custody or control containing personal information which is no longer to be retained by the business by (1) shredding, (2) erasing, or (3) otherwise modifying the personal information in those records to make it unreadable or undecipherable through any means.
